Members of the LES Alumni Association met at Krishnanagar, Mirik to streamline the preparation work for the upcoming Teachers Felicitation Programme scheduled for 22 May 2016.

The second meeting to plan the felicitation programme of LES teachers was held at Diocesan House, Pradhan Nagar, Siliguri and was attended by 18 alumni members. A core committee was formed and team leaders were appointed to discharge various duties for organizing the function.
Team leaders:
1. Balika Golay
2. Sudeep Waiba
3. Sasi Bhusan Gurung
4. Phurba Yalmo
5. Binita Subba
6. Mamta Subba
Major decisions that were taken in the meeting:
1. List of invitee teachers has been finalized.
2. Alumni association logo shall remain the same for now.
3. We shall be henceforth addressed as LEWITES and not LESians.
4. The main event shall be advertised on local media, Facebook and newspapers through event posts and press releases.
5. Deadline of 15 March 2016 shall be set for contribution to be sent by interested alumni members.
6. Permission from the school shall be sought in a couple of days for establishing the alumni association.
7. Venue set-up and decoration shall be done by professional decorators and supervised by senior alumni members.
8. Program schedule has been finalized and is as follows:
8.1 Lighting of the ceremonial lamp.
8.2 Speeches by the Chief Guest, the Principal and a senior member of the alumni (the name of the chief guest is yet to be finalized).
8.3 Documentary film show.
8.4 Cultural programme.
8.5 Reading of messages and playback of video messages by outstation alumni members (fund contributors only).
8.6 Felicitation ceremony.
8.7 Refreshments.
8.8 Closing speech by a senior member of the alumni.
The meeting ended at 4:30 pm with the agreement that the third meeting will be held at Mirik on 20 March 2016.

Several alumni of Lewis English School (Lewites) met at Diocesan House, Pradhan Nagar, Siliguri. This was perhaps the first ever meeting of the alumni of LES with a set goal in mind. They proposed to organize a programme for felicitating the past and present teachers including the Principal and the Headmistress of LES. A detailed discussion was held by the attendees of the meeting for organizing this programme.
